Back in 2017, we kicked off a new ministry for the San Benito Community.  For many years FUMC has supported our Local Food Pantry with food, funds and volunteers. We have partnered again with our Local Food Pantry to distribute these “Happy Birthday Kits” to the individuals they serve. We realized that underserved people might need a little help in celebrating a birthday. Some even stated they've "never had a birthday cake with candles". The people who come to receive help from the San Benito Food Pantry often times don’t have the money to get the extras to have a birthday party.  This is one way we can let them know they are loved.

 

The contents of the kits include:

• cake mix

• can of frosting

• candles

• Matching plates and napkins

• Noisemaker and balloons.

Total cost for a bag is around $5.00.
